FAQ
What are your office hours?
I work with clients Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Are appointments in-person or online?
I see clients online only via an encrypted platform. I have specialized training for working online and am able to offer appointments to people across Alberta.
Who do you work with?
I see adults for individual counselling.
What can I expect from therapy?
I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship where your input is critical to success. Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you and for you to get a sense of what working with me will be like. During this time, we’ll decide what goals to work on and how to get there.
Although we may talk about your past experiences, I tend to focus on the here-and-now; and the ways you can make improvements in your life currently and moving forward. This includes offering suggestions and strategies, based on your goals and your feedback, as to what is most helpful for you.
How often would I expect to see you?
Depending on the issue that brings you to therapy, we may see each other anywhere from once every two weeks to once a month; this is a decision we make together based on your needs and circumstances.
How much do sessions cost?
Fees are $240 per 50-minute session. Psychological services are GST exempt and are tax deductible as a medical expense. Most extended health benefit and employee assistance plans provide substantial coverage for psychological treatment received from a Registered Psychologist.
Do you have direct billing?
There is no direct billing at this time, but I will provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
