Relationships
Sometimes, we find that the connections we long for are also the ones that we struggle with the most. Fulfilling and meaningful relationships are at the heart of our personal well-being. But even the healthiest relationships can, at times, be challenging, and we can often have difficulty navigating these dynamics. When your relationships are not what you want them to be, there are tools to help you learn how to thrive.

Yes. The core work in anxiety therapy is as effective online as it is in person.

You can bring any of your relationship issues to our sessions. Oftentimes, the most impactful relationships in our lives aren’t with romantic partners at all, yet we don’t invest the same time and energy into helping them run smoothly. Whether you’d like to improve friendships, relationships with family, or even with coworkers, our work together can help you understand recurring patterns and show up in those relationships the way you want to.

It depends, since everyone’s circumstances are different. However, research shows that if therapy is going to be helpful, we typically see improvements early on (usually the first 8-10 sessions, depending on what we’re working on). We track this using Feedback Informed Treatment. At the end of our first session, we’ll decide on how often we’ll meet, typically somewhere between once a week and once a month, based on what you need.

FIT is an approach that uses regular client feedback to improve therapy. By keeping track of your progress and how the sessions are going, we make sure you’re getting what you need from therapy and adjust how we’re working together, as needed.
Many therapists say they work collaboratively, but don’t have the expertise or framework in place to ensure that collaboration is happening at every session. FIT is a structured approach that allows for time to reflect on how you’ve been doing, but also how the session went and what (if anything) needs to change.
You can read more about it here.

All of Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Sessions are online only, so I work with clients in Calgary, Edmonton, and everywhere in between, as well as across the NWT.

We'll talk through your relationship history, the difficulties or problems that are currently showing up for you, and what you’ve tried so far. I’ll ask you questions about all areas of your life to get a better big picture understanding and we’ll create some goals for what you hope to address in therapy.

Yes. Sessions run through an encrypted platform built for healthcare providers, but it’s also important that you are in a private space during sessions and using headphones to help protect your privacy as much as possible.

Sessions are $260 for 50 minutes. Most extended health and employee assistance plans cover a portion, and I provide a receipt after each session for reimbursement.

I currently see clients Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
